The Oceano Dunes Yacht Club (ODYC) was established after hearing multiple times the description of the type of people that use the OHV park. We have engrained an image into the minds of people not fond of us as:
“Those people driving their big trucks, blowing their black smoke, while towing their houses on wheels”
So I figured we should make our trail whales a little bit classier with a prestigious yacht club.
All net proceeds from the sale of ODYC merch will go towards the continued battle to keep the dunes open OHV recreational use.
- A non-profit, Friends of the Oceano Dunes, will receive the majority of the collected proceeds.
- Secondly, I would like to create an online awareness campaign targeting the overlanding community, dirt bike families, and off-road enthusiasts
- In a little way wearing ODYC merch will create awareness
